Upload Session
Upload a recording to generate notes automatically
If you recorded a session outside of Serene — on Zoom, a voice recorder, or your phone — you can upload the file and Serene will transcribe it and generate a structured clinical note.
How to Upload
- Click Upload on the "Upload Session" card on your Dashboard
- Select an audio or video file from your device
- Wait for the upload to complete (a progress bar shows the status)
- Serene processes the file — transcribes the audio, analyzes the session, and generates a note
- Your note appears in Pending Notes for review
Supported Formats
Audio — MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC
Video — MP4, MOV, WebM (audio is extracted from the video automatically)
Things to Know
- The card is disabled while another upload or recording is in progress
- Larger files take longer to upload and process — a 60-minute session typically takes a few minutes
- Recordings are encrypted during upload and deleted after processing
- After processing, you'll get the same session analytics as a live recording — talking ratios, emotional patterns, and a structured note
